Hi!

I'm not quite sure where this kinda question should go. I'm relatively new to ubuntu so it hought it would go nicely here.

I am running ubuntu through virtual box 1.5.6. I'm running the beta version of ubuntu - 8.04 hardy heron beta. It all works fine, however, i cannot get it to run in full screen. I have tried the right ctrl and f (the function to get full screen in the VM), but all it does is black out the grey border that exists in windowed mode.

Does anyone have any ideas?

cheers!
edit: it may also be worth noting that its a 12" laptop widescreen screen, 1280 x 800 resolution

Did you install Guest Additions? I'm pretty sure that's essential to run in true full-screen mode.

Ah, here's the link I was looking for on installing Guest Additions (http://n00buntu.blogspot.com/2007/11/step-2-configuring-your-windows-vm.html). See if this fixes the problem for you.
