Inkscape creshed after drawing any object

Hey

I just installed Inkscape 0.45. I tried it out by creating a new file. But just after I draw the fist object with rectangle draw tool, the Inkscape crashed with the error message in terminal says "(inkscape:4812): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_utf8_casefold: assertion `str != NULL' failed" Do any of you have any idea how to fix this?

Hi. You're using an old version. It's probably best to remove 0.45 and install 0.46 via the Synaptic Package Manager. It looks like one of your library files is missing.

Even with that, crashes are possible every now and then so remember:

Press Ctrl + S a lot to quicksave your work.

Even I updated the ubuntu to hardy and updated the inkscape to 0.46 as well. The same problem persist. Can any of you help me please?
