There was a lot of buzz about Freespire when it moved over to the Ubuntu core but I cant say I've heard of anything since. Is it dead? Does anyone out there use it and if so, why.

In my opinion is seems that by switching to an Ubuntu core, it just made people who were using it before switch to the real deal or Kubuntu which is even closer to what Freespire was all about.

So, Thought comments and humorous anecdotes are appreciated.

In the simplest form: LOL...I knew it would fail :P How Freespire is...Why would i run it? Why not run Ubuntu or Mint and just cut out the middleman?

Freespire comes from people who sold themselves to m$.
I do not care if it is dead or alive.
