I don't have a vidio player installd yet(I acctualy was going to install it today http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=74657 ), I am a n00b, and a win would be great, not that I have it installd on my PC, but it is installd on the only weblinkd PC in the house(the one I am on now).

Okay, I don't see a breezy version of this, but the way I got mplayer in mine was by following the instructions in here:
http://ubuntuguide.org/
Remember that when you do this:
http://ubuntuguide.org/#extrarepositories
to replace the word hoary with the word breezy.

hope that helps you. I have streaming audio with my mplayer, and it's really nice.

and see if this helps you get everything else working:

But I have already forgit it when I go upstairs and test is.

I have by the way made a hello world on python. via think python (http://greenteapress.com/thinkpython/thinkCSpy.pdf), and it may not be very diferent.
