Need some help with website

Alright so I have this domain...mandible.org. Currently sitting there with a crap wordpress template with no posts...anyways. At the time that I registered the name, it seemed like a good one. Dunno what I was thinking. Anyhoo, I now need to decide what I want to do with it. The only thing I can think of that relates to mandible is "jawing about [insert topic here]". I am going to make it a blog about something. I had a combat blog in the past that was moderately successful in my military circles.

I also need some kind of logo. The only idea I have floating around is some kind of robot with a large, jagged jaw on it with the word "mandible" in between the jaws.

I really just need someone to put themselves into my shoes...what would you do with this domain? What logo would you design for it? Its just such an obscure word that I'm having a hard time with it.

What I would do is dump both of these terrible domain names. All you're doing now is trying your absolute hardest to find a reason to keep them.

I have a couple of ideas for you, although I agree with hyperkill on the suggestion to dump them if you dislike them as much as you do.

However, if you choose to keep them, I would use an image similar to http://www.msu.edu/~heslipst/contents/ANP440/images/Zafarraya_mandible.jpg for your logo for the mandible site, however I would change the angle of it (probably have to have a custom photo taken or have one created in photoshop) so that you saw it more from the bottom, as if you were holding the bone as seen in the photo, and then rotated it away from you (front up, back down) until the near side was more-or-less straight, and the far side arced downward.

Sorry if that's a bit hard to follow, moving on though...

If you want to get away from the 'cursed' element of 'accursed' I would just break it into 3 words a-(c)cur-sed = a cur (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cur) said, and have your logo a cowardly man with a word bubble.... maybe have the first C have a big hand-painted-looking X across it, or a thick line through it or something. It would be a little cheesy, and a disappointment to anyone looking for a site about cursed things, but it could be fun too, and would definitely get away from the cursed feel.

I don't really see the problem. Domain names don't have to match your page/blog name (and I personally quite like "mandible" anyway). And st0n3cutt3r's suggestion for a logo is a good one.

I'd sit on accursed.org - some emo kid is sure to pay you well for that one!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Yes, admittedly, I am trying to find ways to keep the domains. I'm sure in 2045 they'll be worth $20. :) That jaw picture is one i've looked at before as something I could put to use. Thanks for the brainstorming for me ston3cutt3r. Still pondering...
