Hey folks,

with every new Kubuntu distribution I wonder why all the different startup screens are all such different in style&design? The KDE start splash always completely falls out with some ancient styles. The KDM looks also quite different.

I am looking for a uniform look from the GRUB boot menu (if not in textmode) via the Linux boot splash and KDM login screen to the KDE splash screen.

Are there perhaps already installer packages that combine all these splash screens in one nice and modern design?

Best regards,
APi

I like the 7.x splash screen and login menu. If you want something new, you should have a look at www.kde-look.org, most of the themes there are relatively easy to install.
