My Palm Treo 700p will sync with Evolution just fine. It's connected via a cradle to USB.
But now I want it to sync with MS Outlook in my Windows XP guest. Even when I have it connected to the guest by going to VM>Removeable Devices>USB, when I hit the sync button Ubuntu takes it over and syncs it with Evolution. I have the mouse cursor inside the guest when I try to sync. I've also tried it with the guest in full screen mode and the same thing happens. I then went into Evolution and deleted the Palm connection. Now when I try to sync Ubuntu grabs the port again and reports Unknown PDA - no PDA matches...etc.
How can I stop Ubuntu from grabbing the USB port and just let it go to the XP guest?
PS. The reason I want to sync to Outlook (I hate MS too!) is that I use it as an intermediary so I can sync with Yahoo.
