Hi, i searched a lot but i don't find what i really want.
I would like a japan style rpg, like final fantasy, so games like eschalon(i liked the demo but is not what i'm looking for) is not what i need.
I have seen screenshots of KQ, it is a really old school rpg, but i would like something more actual in graphics(i really like 2D, but no so old school).
I don't want mmorpg, or emulators, i'm looking for a native game.
I have seen a video of battle for wesnoth and i think is not what i'm looking for, about all for the graphics, i like more 'manganized'.
I prefer 2D over 3D, but don't mind if the game is good.
If somebody knows atelier iris or disgaea knows what i would like.
PD: I know my english is not very good and 'manganized' is my own creation of a word, does it suit in english?:)

No :(
Maplestory is a mmorpg unfortunately. I've been looking for similar but keep ending up at final fantasy VII on a ps emulator. There must be more anime rpg's out there though!
Thanks to anyone who knows!

Nothing Native I can think of, but the Y's PC games run under wine.
Book I&II are patched to English

Only I can think off/know natively that have a "japanese graphic",
Battle for Wesnoth (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:b:wesnoth) - RPG
Dofus (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:d:dofus) - MMORPG (with tactical combat)
Project Starfighter (http://www.parallelrealities.co.uk/starfighter.php) - space Arcade
Hanihani: Operation Sanctuary (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:h:hanihani_operation_sanctuary) - Adventure/text story
Other than that you need Emulator, because most games aren't made for Linux (yet ;) )

Perhaps Hero of Allacrost (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:h:hero_of_allacrost), though it is still in heavy development.
Neverwinter Nights (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:n:neverwinter_nights) never miss if you're looking for RPG, there're huge mod community so you can pick your own stories.

Neverwinter nigths looks american style rpg, i prefer pure japan rpg and Allacrost will need a lot of time to be finished.
I think my search has finished with no results, i will have to play in my console.:)

You're being way too picky with not going with emulation.
Crap, you have an overabundance at fully-functional anime-style RPG's that you could run with dosbox. Knights of Xentar comes immediately to mind.

I know, but if there are native RTS, MMORPG, FPS, CRPG, etc, and the linux gaming community is growing every day, i supossed there would be a native RPG of my taste and i didn't find it.

Sad to say you're right, but yeah.
But it looks like, for the hardcore users that come to Linux, it seems to be all MMO's and FPS's that really catch on, other than the simplistic games.
I obviously wouldn't mind playing some new RPG's, but considering how insane a process that is when it comes to writing one thoroughly, I just don't know if open source developers will invest that much time into one game.
Although, a large collarboration of programmers and writers could set it off up in the place. ;)

Only game that came to mind was GearHead and KQ:

I too want Japanese-style games (frankly I'm sick of all the rougelikes and medieval-fantasy games), but that would need some Asian developers we don't (but should) have. :(
