Hi

I need some help extracting frames from an .avi file i have.
I have tried to use Infranview and other such programmes but it says it is in a strange encoding although i can play it it wont let me extract the frames.
I could do it manually but I have a lot of these videos and i really dont want to do that I have better things to do with more data processing than that.

Any help would be great like a programme that could use this or code that could extract it.
the file is too big to attach here so I'll give a link to the file its self and the .zip file on my college web page account.

Hope this helps and many thanks in advance

Have you tried Kino? It's in the repositories.

I've been playing around with it lately for some home movies, but haven't tried the frame capture though.
