View Full Version : What do you think about the change to German?

In case you haven't been to the Arch site lately, they are making the switch to German as the primary language for Arch.


I hope this doesn't make my life harder.

Are they going to change the installer to German? I would also hate to run into German-only wikis!

I know I'm being selfish because there are probably plenty of people speaking less popular languages who use Arch, but I'm helpless enough! I don't need a language barrier to add to my computer obstacles.

Awesome, just did my daily pacman -Syu, and it automatically installed the new language packs and made the necessary changes to rc.conf.

I just hope someone sweeps by, deletes this thread, lowers my bean count and erases everyone's memory who read the post, so that I don't have to be ashamed of myself. ](*,)

In my defense... It was 3-4 hours before April fools day for me when I saw it...

Don't worry, you were not the only one. I went to Arch's forum last night (03-31-08 ) and I didn't realized it was a joke, so I was happy there's a Spanish site (the point in my favor is that we don't celebrate April fools here and I'm rarely aware of these days) :)
