[SOLVED] Do posts expire?

Do posts, and their subsequent threads ever expire, or is it necessary to request that they be deleted?

don't think that tey expire and if they do then it takes a long time because in the user CP it has an option to show threads and the drop down box goes up to a year, hen its show all threads. So threads are likely around for more than a year.

Posts definitely don't expire and are usually not deleted either. They just fade into the past..but resurface when people search for specific terms that a post might address.

We need to keep all the old posts for new users to learn..hardly worth re-hashing issues over and over again..:)

We've seen questions solved after a year or so. We keep all of them. We have sub-forums for Outdated Tutorials and Tips (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=255), and previous Development versions (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=237), though.
