Hey guys.
I see UF has implemented "Go to first new post" at the front of threads that you have not read the latest material on, and to be honest, it's extremely distracting when browsing.
I can understand possibly having it in your Subscriptions, but on the actual forums, too?! I would like to request that this feature be made optional on the forums and under Subscriptions, and be made disabled by default, at least on the forums themselves.
Thanks.

sounds like a sweet idea to me :) (disabling it that is)

even on subscribed threads its a pain because you miss if someone just edited their post to contain more info.

I agree totally, i find it very annoying that it goes to the first new post, however, some people probably find this very convenient, so if possible, could an option to turn this on/off be implemented?

I don't see how that square button with a triangle to the left of the title qualifies as 'highly distracting'. On the other hand, I would find following threads I have not subscribed to exceedingly difficult without this function.

I guess I might need to refresh my cache.

<img class="inlineimg" src="http://ubuntuforums.org/images/uf/buttons/firstnew.gif" alt="Go to first new post" border="0" />
That could explain it. Let me try clearing cache.

EDIT: That solved it. I guess maybe they could get rid of the alt option on the image tag...
Gonna mark this is as solved.
