Yeah, I like number two. But I think it will depend on the surrounding color context.

the only reason i don't like number two is because i had to blur around the edges of the earth and it makes it look less crisp if you know what i mean?

I prefer #1 - I like the higher contrast without the gradient ... makes everything POP.

Mhm, I like 1 better too. It has nice contrast. :]

However, the rough corners aren't too nice, I think it you softened them a bit (and saved it in a .png), it'd look much better.

I like the first one better. TBH id prefer the second one if the gradient was more subtle. Both are pretty good mind.

I definitely prefer #1. Two reasons:
1. The contrast between the text and the background.
2. The earth picture you are using obviously had a black background originally, and it shows.

I like two better because it looks like light is hitting it. They both look the same except for the the light. I really like two better. I hope two wins.:guitar:

Dude, that's awesome! Number 2 is better, IMO. Don't feel bad about your image editing skills, I can barely make stick people in MSPAINT

If you make the white gradient on #2 look more glassy compared to a what it is now (a white blurry blob), then i would most likely vote for #2. Otherwise i vote for #1.

My eyes keep wanting to put some grey behind the letters to give them depth, but I don't know how it will actually look, but I do like the black background more.

Another vote for #1. I like the dark background, like Earth being seen from space. You might want to add a poll to the tread :)

Looks like you took my smear advice, You can click the view menu to increase the size of the image and then adjust the smear down to just the size you need and get good control.Another neat tool for blending stuff in is the clone tool. You click and hit control on the spot you want to clone from then every time you draw it repeats the image starting from that point to where you take it.
