View Full Version : installing kubuntu thru wubi

guys help me, im trying to install kubuntu 7.10 with wubi
i already have the iso and it is placed in the same folder as the wubi but wubi always connect to the net to download the iso.
i have 8.04 wubi and 7.04 wubi and both gives me the same result.
any solutions?

am a newbie with Linux as well but as far as i understand you need to burn the iso on dvd and use it to install ubuntu on your box! ;)

From what I can discren you are trying to install kubuntu through wubi. It isn't necessary to download the iso, as wubi downloads it for you. If you want to install kubuntu right now and do not fear being unable to uninstall it from windows, burn the .iso file to a cd and install. Dual boot tutorials are here:
