I would like to make wallpapers for ubuntu for everyone to share.. Does anyone know where i might get a so called "blueprint" of the ubuntu logo to duplicate it accurately??

You can find it in your /home/example/ folder , its in png format , you can use it.

Vector is your best bet in this case. It will allow you to have the logo at any size.
