Other file systems running on XP

Is this possible? I find NTFS very slow, and I would like to run ext3 or reiserfs as my file system on windows. Or maybe someone here can point me in the right direction to get my system fixed. I have a acer laptop with a pentium M cpu, can't find the ghz, But 752MB ram, and my hdd light is constantly on. Is this because swap is in use alot? or is there something taking my fs speed? (I have eliminated non essentials but still get solid hdd light) Help me please :confused:

i don't think your file system is the problem, though you can do a check disk easily on windows.

sounds more like you have a process or application grabbing all the resources available,

check your 'task manager' to see if there is something in particular using all the resources.
