I just downloaded the newest PS3 update and it looks like whatever broke the upnp streaming in the PS3 was fixed (finally). I am streaming recordings off my Myhtbuntu backend in mpeg2.ts format. I know that before HD wouldn't work at all in .ts (i only have an SD tuner), and was wondering if anyone had any success streaming HD?

SD programs work fine, but i get "Data is corrupted" on HD. I only have one HD recording though, so ill set another one and try it out

i've read mixed things about HD so good luck man. If you get it to work please let me know about any tweaks. I really wish Sony would let/straighten this codec stuff out.

Just tried another HD recording, same problem, 'data corrupted'.

I havn't looked into PS3 and mythtv yet, so ill do some research after work tonight and see what i can dig up.

I cant imagine there is much that can be done on the PS3 side of things. It may come down to transcoding the HD recordings into a format that the PS3 can handle.

I turned up this on MythTV Wiki:

However, many of the codecs commonly used with MythTV don't currently work with this functionality.

MPEG4 recording created by MythTV don't appear to work at all, appearing as "Unsupported Data" in the PS3 game OS.
