After finally getting ET to work (I don't know if I actually fixed it or it just happened to work), I find myself perplexed as to why I'm not in control of anyone and it seems as if I'm watching other people play. I quickly figured out that I'm probably waiting for an in-progress game to finish. But just in case I'm wrong, could someone very very briefly explain how it works?
Now my main point, after joining a second server, I was dumped straight into play, great :), but the text and even some of the environment was distorted.
This is probably a simple configuration problem but not so simple to a Linux nub such as I. From what I have seen so far ET looks the kind of game that I'm going to be glued to for the next couple of weeks, if someone can help to stop this distortion I would appreciate it greatly.
