well in every mmorpg there are private server.
So do ragnarok 1 and 2 have private servers.
Last time i played ro2 wasnt true english it was just partialy other was in korean.

yea but private servers suck, it can't really be called playing. even those that haven't got XP gain modified still crash every hour or so..
played one for 3hours, quit and never went back.

well i had nice experience in private servers on ro.
Even in wow but dunno about ro2 the first ro2 server was alot bugged i hope it changed.

what would be the reason not to play on public servers anyway?
i mean, cash, yeah, but it's not like it gets wasted or anything.
there are no such things as events, GMs and new patches created by the private server admins
