im new so give me a break,i added it from the applications tab and when i click on the icon to play it, the screen goes black for a couple secotnds then it just goes bak to my desktop, i am using the 64-bit version

idk wat gnome is and my video card is garbage its an integrated x3100 on a dell inspiron

Gnome is the desktop environment,

what version of Ubuntu are you using?

Ubuntu = Gnome
Xbuntu = Xfce
Kubuntu = KDE

Maybe its because you dont have a good enough video card. I have a computer with ATI X1300 and this game does not run smooth at all.
