i use gimp to acquire xsane image so i can edit it. but gimp would rename the images name as Untitled1, Untitled2 ... etc and i have to choose the format [jpg,gif,bmpl..] every time i start the program. but if i use xsane i can set it to auto assign a distinct file name for each newly scanned image such as out0034, out0035, so that it wouldn't overlap the names which has already been used. i can also preset the format of the image [jpg,gif..]. how can i get this feature in gimp? thanks!
