Don't use Windows software thats what I did. I don't drink Wine anyway. I like my consumption of alcohol to be at a minimal.

Wine has come a LONG way in both is stability and its functionality. Hats off to all the wine guys for making world brighter without windows.

The fact Wine even works amazes me, although I do not use it. Figured I might as well go cold turkey. When I am in Linux-zen I might use it to play some old games. By then it might even be better than dual booting. :)

Ah yes, chapter 7 in "how to influence people and win friends". An excellent approach.

Lol I've had a couple apps do that too, usually involving Visturd. It's even sadder when said apps run faster in Wine than they do on their native OS. (When I used to play it, I actually got a faster frame rate for World of Warcraft in Wine than I did on XP if you can believe that.) Granted, Wine has a ways to go yet, but it's an amazing bit of software.

I've also noticed that. when I played WoW on winXP, i had like 35-45 fps, on wine it goes up to (!) 75. Maybe it's because win didn't want to use my second CPU.
I'm too lazy to fix my broken window$ installation anyway...

Seriously though, wine has gotten to the point where it CAN run most of the apps available
