It seems like many people are throwing away the broken LCD ipod 4th gen mp3 players at ebay. I was thinking about taking the drive out and build a mini-itx or pico-itx board with it. 1.8 to 3.5 ide interface is only $6. Anybody here made a server with 1.8" drive?

I have a laptop with a 1.8" drive and have no problems.

Thank you. That is very good to hear. I hope it isn't much slower than 2.5 drive.
Thanks again. Are you using a 2.5 to 1.5 converter or your laptop came with 1.5?
