View Full Version : Breezy upgrade gave bootsplash :-)

So today is Oct. 6, just did an upgrade on my Breezy install at home. Afterwards it recommended a reboot to allow all changes to take effect.

During boot I was greeted with a graphical splash screen. :razz:

Yeah, that's really nice. I've been waiting for this. I'm going to install Breezy as soon as the stable release is out on my laptop. I can hardly wait! :)

Is it the same bootsplash as in the LiveCD?

i think so, and a nice blue one in the same style for Kubuntu ;)

Really? I honeslty haven't noticed this. I shall have to actually watch my computer when I boot it up. I usually turn it on, go away and do other stuff, then come back and its at the login screen.

What does it look like? A little bar going across the screen?

Aye, meanwhile it tells if everything is OK in mini-format. Though I think the bootsplash is a bit to dark in my opinion.

may help someone else - this enabled it on one of my machines

sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image- 'uname -r'

example

sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.12-9-386
