First I tried buying a PCMCIA card and trying to get it to work with Linux.
This WLAN stuff is like a Linux Cube. Now I guess what I should be doing is just asking what card works with Apple G4 PowerBook AL, 1.3 GHz and then buying a card that is recognized by the computer.
I have heard that ones with the prism chip are compatible. I want a card that I I don't have to create a driver for or reconfigure a kernel. I just plug it in and it is recognized with very minimal config other than the essid and a few settings.
Can anyone recommend such a card?
Thanks.
