I'm still a nub with Ubuntu, and Linux in general. I've only been using Ubuntu for about half a year and I'm only 16.. blah! Anyways, I sold my old rig and got a new one, I installed Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon and I have a Sound Blaster Audigy [I don't remember the version) as my sound card. In Rhythmbox Music Player I try and import my music files from my external hard drive. All of them except for a few albums are MP3. The ones that aren't MP3 work in the player, but when I import the MP3 ones the songs are in a separate playlist(?) and say "The GStreamer plugins to decode 'MP3' files cannot be found." I installed the "w64codecs" from Synaptic and still no good. I really need my music, and any help would be greatly appreciated! I only know how to change directories and "sudo apt-get" commands in the terminal off the top of my head. Thanks again!!
