hello everybody
i am using Fedora8+ GNOME and for window manager i use the latest version of compiz-fusion -
i am still rookie but anyway i managed to make it working - and its working fine exept for transparency

i read a lot in forums about setting the transparent cube - but anyway on my PC it just dont get any transparency :(
i unchecked all the stuff that i dont need in "ccsm" - Wobbly window, Cube gear ...etc , and then changed every option in ccsm/Desktop Cube - but anyway my cube is again with opacity 100 and no trasparency when i rotate it

thank you for your attention and cooperation :)

How exactly do you have
ccsm --> desktop cube --> Transparent Cube
set up?

Also, you may need the rotate plugin enabled.

Opacity During Rotation "12"
Opacity When Not Rotating "12"
Fade Time "3.9"
Transparency only on mouse rotate "checked"
anyway the last option i tried it both off and on and it still doesnt seem to work :/

Okay, quick question... If you press and hold "Alt" while rolling the scroll-wheel of your mouse back and forth does your active window go back and forth between transparent and opaque?

There is a check box somewhere (sorry, not in Ubuntu Right now) that is enabled by default and only lets the cube go transparent when the mouse is used to rotate.

yes :) when i Roll (In|Out) while holding "Alt" button the opacity of the current window is changing - so the transparency is working -
but while holding "Ctrl +Alt" and rotating the cube with left mouse button there is no transparency

Okay, just try this... Simply because I don't know of anything else to try.

Set your Cube transparency to 100 (opaque) when NOT rotating. I notice your transparency settings - both when rotating and not rotating - are

1. Very close in value and
2. That your Cube is almost transparent even when NOT rotating.

This just makes me wonder if you're not confusing the hell out of Compiz/your Cube about all this.
