View Full Version : Visual Effects Running really slow

I have a HP DC7600 Desktop running an ATI 1300 (which i have found to be an **** to get anything 3d Working). Anyway i read some where to download XGLX or something inorder to get the 3d visuals to work. i downloaded them and hey they worked but bloody slow. REALLY SLOW

Any ideas to speed this up?

Hmm, I think you want to change the entry at the end to:
Option "Composite" "enable"
but I'm not sure about how this works for ATI cards.

Anyway. What is the output from this command, entered in a console?
$ glxinfo | grep -i rendering

Right i have done a fresh install after completely ruining my previous install

just installed the restricted drive for my ATI X1300 card.
HP DC7600 with 2 gig ram

Cant get any 3d rendering working in visual effects

Enableing any 3d visuals in "Appearance i get his error:
The Composite extension is not available
