I've installed it. that went fine.

Just when I click on 'Quake for Windows' it comes up with an error..

Winsock IPX bind failed

The quake version I've got is a 32 bit one. (Worked on XP and Vista)

Quake GL doesn't work. Nothing happens when I click on it.

How will I get it to work?

Its got nothing to do with hardware as Quake 1 requires a very slow pc, which, my pc ain't slow :)

Thanks!
Tom

Why you use Wine? You can use nQuake and it's working with *.exe
My cmd line:
/media/sda4/nQuake/ezquake-gl.exe -width 800 -height 600 -conwidth 400 -conheight 300 -nodga -nomdga -bpp 32 -mem 64 -democache 32768 +gl_gamma 0.7 -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -noforcemaccel +set s_khz 44 -norjscripts +cfg_load pimp
