Hey All,

A program I use (Alt.Binz) needs a .exe media player in order to stream videos from Usenet ... My question is what is the best (ie one that works well) media player that works in WINE ??

I have tried Media Player classic but it doesn't seem to run and I am trying VLC although it does work there is some minor graphical glitches (like one of the elemets on the GNOME panel flickering during full screen video) which is annoying.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You can get VLC on linux by add/remove. Now for streaming though nero for linux is only thing I can think of.

You could try Winamp, I think it's runing OK in Wine. Does it play videos, though?

Yes, it does. I remember having some trouble with the overlay being in the right place, but that was well over a year ago.

Winamp and wine worked fine for me after I fiddeled with a few things.
It worked just like it did on windows.
