Built completely using free software, my website www.ikireta.com was developed on UBUNTU with Drupal CMS
Believe it or not, Drupal made my work of creating a website thousand times easier. And it worked perfectly with php mysql and apache on ubuntu.
If you are thinking of creating a website and are a newbie to CMS, use drupal, i'll vote it 10/10
Btw, dont you think my website looks nice... ? :)

Yes it definitely is a nice page, but as a fellow web developer allow me to make a few recommendations, First focus on creating more of a page fold so that your users will be able to find things quickly, i noticed you have a bit of free white space near the bottom of your page you could take away so that you can have your page fold. Also i would say to put your login section above you ads by google. But all in all its a very nice and easy page. A+ on the Navigation and css.
