Why when i play Diablo II (lod) Through wine its very very slow even when i play single player. I am new to linux so can you please leave detail directions on what to do

what do you mean "very slow?"

Which video mode are you using in the D2 vid test (direct3d, hal, etc)? What video card do you have? What version of wine are you using (you can check this by looking in the synaptic package manager)? These are things we need to know ;)

D2 should run great on virtually everything, so well get this one fixed :)

LOL its funny i check the video mode i was using in the D2 vido tester and i was in direct3d and it was very slow (laggy skippy etc...) i switched it to hal. Now my question is do i have to use hal to rune lod or can i use direct3d.

The version of wine i have is .9.57. and my video card that i am using is ati all in wonder 9600 (for sum reason Ubuntu would not recognize my 9800 and wont install but thats another topic)
