Virtual 8.04 in 7.10

To see the Hardy Heron Alpha, could I set up VMWare and install hardy on a virtual partition, with 7.10 as the host system?

If so, could anyone please help me how to do this.

The easiest way is simply to download and burn the livecd and try it without installing. If you want to install and have a spare partition on your disk it would be easier to install to the spare partition, and dual boot with grub, just like it is done with windows.
