I decided to check out the game, because I want so more things to play on my Linux hd, since my Windows one is mostly reserved for gaming/flash/PS/(you get it)

Anyways, I was looking at the site and i did what the guy said to compile the game, but it wont compile. I read the READ ME, and I thought i installed the compile GCC correctly, but I dont see it anywhere.

Ive tired to get the make file to work and the SConstructs. Nothing works. I dont know what i could be doing wrong, I even have the right libraries for it. I also have the orginial CD's so I alrdy copied the nessecary files for it?

Does any one have any ideas to what the problem could be?

Or possible tips

me=still beginner to Ubuntu

You need to provide enough detail of what command you executed, and what the results were. Also versions, OS, compiler, game, as appropriate ?

It may be that you do not have the compiler installed correctly ?

sudo apt-get install build-essential

If you choose not to mention the game/source, then their mailing lists may be the place to provide the error messages and show unexpected result.
