I am setting up a server for class at school and am lost. Most of the schools internet access is restricted by cisco clean access agent, but we(the server that is) were assigned some special unblocked ip address that needs to be configured manually(static ip), because of this during the edubuntu installation I was not able to download some updates. I think this is because the edubuntu installer saw that there was a dhcp server working and it attempted to use this info to connect to the internet but was prevented from going anywhere b/c of cisco clean access agent. The missing files are listed in the /etc/apt/sources.list directory but whenever I try to update its blocked. And I tried starting the servers dhcp service and connected a desktop with pxe enabled and it didn't work. I tried using the terminal to restart that service but its says failed. Thank you for any help and please be detailed as I am inexperienced.
