cannot get doom 3 to work

no matter what i do i cant get doom 3 to work. Im new to ubuntu so im not sure if theres something that im doing thats wrong. Any suggestions???

Where are you stuck? Have you successfully ran the installer? Copied the necessary files from the CD to where it's installed? Is direct rendering on your system enabled (glxinfo | grep direct from a terminal should give you "direct rendering: Yes")?

Your question is very general. It would help if you would be more specific, like describing where you get stuck when trying to get it to work, or copying any error messages you receive and pasting them into the forum.
