View Full Version : Compiz - what does the "Reflection" effect do?

May sound like a silly question, but I don't get what the Reflection function does under "Effects"

The popup says "Draws Reflections"

But I have reflections from the "Cube" and "Shift Switcher" anyway, and this Reflection tool is not turned on.

If I go into it, it says:

Reflection Image.
Reflection for Windows.
Reflections for Decorations.

As well as other options.

But when I enable this, I can't see any difference?

Am I missing something here?

It's for the window borders, I think.

Well, I can't seem to make it do anything.

The "Windows Decoration" does things like drop shadows etc around window frames.

I was wondering if it was to do with the missing 3D Windows plug in?

Ahhh, found it now:

Only works if you have the Emerald Theme Manager.

That's why it does nothing!
