Software

Linux : Windows
$0.00 : $000.00

At one time I calculated that to buy the software I had on Ubuntu would have cost thousands of dollars to buy them for windows.

linux benefits are not relevant, you just have to try it and make your own choice, that's all...:)
don't believe people that say linux is better, try it yourself and you'll be convinced :)

linux is a better os if you like it better, if not.....well.......

Those of us who have stayed with linux, like it better, therefore consider it a better os. (technically speaking it is better, it's the user experience that counts tho doesn't it?)

Give it a spin, kick the tires, pop the hood and see if you like it.

In the case of Ubuntu, consistent and easy to follow user interface that does what you tell it to do.
