Hey, I am new to programming. I do have MATLAB experience, but not much more. I am starting a c++ tutorial and found the concept of a programming font. I can find a font. I can figure out how to install it to my system. But I don't know how to use it. I want to leave all my normal fonts alone. I only want to make my IDE, Code::Blocks, use the programming font.

Do you try to learn C++ by yourself, or with a teacher? For first language, Python is much easier to learn. See sticky FAQ, and wiki in my sig.

I found the configuration settings. they were well hidden. I thought about python, but C++ will be more useful. I will learn python someday, probaby not until after version 3 comes out. python 3 seems to be easier to learn right? I don't think I have to be become intimately familiar with C++, but i should be able to work with it a little. I am going to be a computational chemist.
