I'm trying to install Ubuntu 7.10 on my iMac 2.4 Ghz CoreDuo external Firewire drive. I can seem to install it, but am unable to boot to it. Naturally, the startup disk control panel in OSX 10.5.2 doesn't recognize the drive.
Is there a proper procedure to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance,

-w0ltInstall rEFIt and try. Unfortunately I think you will still have issues. Read the topic about booting from external drives in the FAQ.

You are right. It still doesn't boot. Guess I'll wait for someone to come up with a clever solution to boot off external drives.
