Can't seek in Internal Player

When watching a video or a dvd with the internal player, when I try to jump forward, it doesn't work. The timer pops up saying that I'm at the end of the video. The frontend log has 'audio stream changed' every .01 seconds.

External players work fine, but I prefer to use the internal.

Which external player are you using? Which buttons are you using? Could it be a button mapping issue? If you use the keyboard, does it have the same effect?
