I'm not sure cutting the price would help any. Right about the same time of the announcement of the price cut. Ballmer is defending Vista. You can watch a video of the interview at CNET.

48% still wouldn't be enough. I'm fine with my XP installs, but don't think I'd ever specifically buy Vista.

Doesn't matter, this is all prep for the 'end of days' on being able to get XP anywhere (except maybe eBay).

The only way Vista will have any "success" is from the pre-installs - anyone know off the top of their heads when the final XP licences are going to roll out?
