Audacity import MP3, lose recording function

Hey guys,


I'm running Audacity. When I just open it and want to record something, it does it fine. But after I import an mp3, it suddenly says it cannot find the input device, "please check input device settings and project sample rate."

What the..?

Actually, I figured out the real problem. It seems to be that Audacity only supports on track at a time, and I can't even edit the tracks that I just recorded.

The only way that I can record is if I close all the tracks and then start over.
