I'm trying to setup everything, and I have a small issue. I have one receiver that I would like to use a digital audio cable with, and another receiver that I would like to use a R & L analog audio cable with.

Does anybody know if this is possible? I haven't tried too much, but when I enable the AC3(PCM?) stuff in MythTV setup, I heard digital static out of my analog out port.

I may have to try what was suggested in this post:

Thanks.

One idea I had was to get a second sound card, or to get a USB sound card to work in Linux. I don't think MythTV is setup to handle that right now however.

I had another idea, but it might mean that I will have more wires to run.

I'm going to have to check to see if there is a analog audio out on my new receiver that will always output whatever is coming into it. Then I would just need to run a 100' R&L RCA audio cable back up to the input on the second receiver.

Has information on simultaneous digital and analog output. I haven't tried it and can't attest to its validity with ubuntu...
