Newbie: filename truncated, cannot checksum

Hi All,

burnt the 'ubuntu-6.06.1-desktop-powerpc.iso' unto a CD.
Installation does not finish on a iMac G3.
So I wanted to checksum the CD, but some of the filenames in 'md5sum.txt' are longer than 31 chars so OSX Terminal gives me:
md5sum: can't open /Volumes/Ubuntu_PowerPC_dapper/pool/main/b/binutils/binutils_2.16.1cvs20060117-1ubuntu2.1_powerpc.deb

Any help is appreciated

You'd do better to use the alternate install CD for an iMac G3 - many people have reported problems trying to use the desktop (live) CD.
