Has anyone else experimented with Wine? I installed it and winex thorugh synaptec, and after much frustration got it to run by creating a launcher. It sort-of opens my programs in windows, like it will run it until it needs an activex plugin, but whne you install it it freezes the window.

Anyhow, here's the problem: When I start using it everythign's fine, but it gradually slows down my system until it grinds to a halt. First the mouse gets jerky, then things have trouble opening, then by the time I try to close Wine, I can't do anything at all. The process takes a few minutes. What's up?

What Windows apps are you trying to run with Wine, and how many at a time?

Do you have beagle installed, mono may not like what wine is doing causing the daemon to chew up memory
