From a look at similar posts, I have a feeling that getting a Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U working with Mythbuntu is going to be a daunting task. I hope I am wrong. From perusing these posts, it seems that compiling the kernel and other difficult tasks are part of this setup.

Am I correct that Mythbuntu does not come preconfigured with drivers for the Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U? If so, where I can get the current drivers for it?

My device is listed from lsusb:

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 093b:a004 Plextor Corp.

Where do I start?
