Ubunter wallpapers

I made some wallpaper for ubuntu. They're made in Blender and rendered with yafray. I posted them on art.ubuntu.com too.

Click on the thumbnails because the thumbnails look very dissimilar to the original image.

I hope you like them. I'd like you people to make up some ideas of other wallpapers I could make.

I made a redhat wallpaper yesterday but I don't think it's suitable to show it here :D I'm thinking of making tux but it would take me too long. Sorry I'm lazy :D

Great! I especially like the first one. I saw it earlier today, and I had to look at it again just now. I'm a fan of the black/orange combo. My old Win2k computer was themed with black and soft orange...so nice.

If you really need an idea, you could do more complicated things with the word 'ubuntu' and the logo, like play with textures and transparency. It might be cool to have the ubuntu logo glow and make it the only light source. But really, I think you should use your own ideas ;-)

I really dig the first one. Your colour scheme is great. I'm a big fan of orange and black just complements it.

May I use one for my desktop?

Of course you can, what do you think I made them for :D The linux community gave me such a great thing for free, now I have to give something back.

I used Blender which is a free 3d animation software and photoshop for post-processing a bit. You can find blender at www.blender3d.org.

NOTE: You must first have the universe repositories active.
