There would be obvious advantages:
* Hassle free support for absolutely all hardware.
* Autocad and FIFA 08 for Linux.
* Gmail and Facebook would work on Konqueror.
* Most websites would validate HTML and Javascript.
* Instead of pocket MP3 players we would have OGG players.
* A guchizillon effects for compiz-fusion.
* Nobody would attach .doc files to emails.
Some things are harder to predict.
* Viruses for Linux? Or complete disappearance of viruses?
* More dumb questions on Ubuntuforums or fewer?
* More users for Open Office? Or would everybody switch ultimately to LaTeX?
* Would KDE4 be stable?
* Would everybody's IQ go up 15%?
Many questions. Few answers. What do you think would happen?
