List of package names

Is there a complete list of package names? I am having trouble making a package due to missing packages. It seems that package names very slightly. If I could see a full list, I may be able to figure out what the Ubuntu name is.

hmmmm. kind of having trouble understanding you....
all package lists are in /var/lib/apt/lists/ if thats what you want.
